“Mark this, then, you who forget God, or I will tear you apart, and there will be no one to deliver.


But you indeed are awesome! Who can stand before you when once your anger is roused?


Who considers the power of your anger? Your wrath is as great as the fear that is due you.


On that day the Egyptians will be like women, and tremble with fear before the hand that the Lord of hosts raises against them.


The sinners in Zion are afraid; trembling has seized the godless: “Who among us can live with the devouring fire? Who among us can live with everlasting flames?”


Do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul; rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell.


Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”


But I will warn you whom to fear: fear him who, after he has killed, has authority to cast into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him!


there will be great earthquakes, and in various places famines and plagues; and there will be dreadful portents and great signs from heaven.
