29 So it was that, when God destroyed the cities of the Plain, God remembered Abraham, and sent Lot out of the midst of the overthrow, when he overthrew the cities in which Lot had settled.

Now these are the descendants of Terah. Terah was the father of Abram, Nahor, and Haran; and Haran was the father of Lot.


I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you, and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing.


Then God remembered Rachel, and God heeded her and opened her womb.


But God remembered Noah and all the wild animals and all the domestic animals that were with him in the ark. And God made a wind blow over the earth, and the waters subsided;


Remember me, O my God, concerning this, and do not wipe out my good deeds that I have done for the house of my God and for his service.


And I commanded the Levites that they should purify themselves and come and guard the gates, to keep the sabbath day holy. Remember this also in my favor, O my God, and spare me according to the greatness of your steadfast love.


Your wickedness affects others like you, and your righteousness, other human beings.


For he remembered his holy promise, and Abraham, his servant.


He is mindful of his covenant forever, of the word that he commanded, for a thousand generations,


Remember me, O Lord, when you show favor to your people; help me when you deliver them;


It is he who remembered us in our low estate, for his steadfast love endures forever;

even if these three men were in it, as I live, says the Lord God, they would save neither sons nor daughters; they alone would be saved, but the land would be desolate.


How can I give you up, Ephraim? How can I hand you over, O Israel? How can I make you like Admah? How can I treat you like Zeboiim? My heart recoils within me; my compassion grows warm and tender.


It was because the Lord loved you and kept the oath that he swore to your ancestors, that the Lord has brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you from the house of slavery, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.


Remember your servants, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; pay no attention to the stubbornness of this people, their wickedness and their sin,


It is not because of your righteousness or the uprightness of your heart that you are going in to occupy their land; but because of the wickedness of these nations the Lord your God is dispossessing them before you, in order to fulfill the promise that the Lord made on oath to your ancestors, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.


and if he rescued Lot, a righteous man greatly distressed by the licentiousness of the lawless
