so that the people could not distinguish the sound of the joyful shout from the sound of the people's weeping, for the people shouted so loudly that the sound was heard far away.


Though your beginning was small, your latter days will be very great.


Those who go out weeping, bearing the seed for sowing, shall come home with shouts of joy, carrying their sheaves.


Praise the Lord! How good it is to sing praises to our God; for he is gracious, and a song of praise is fitting.


Do not fear, you worm Jacob, you insect Israel! I will help you, says the Lord; your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel.


The least of them shall become a clan, and the smallest one a mighty nation; I am the Lord; in its time I will accomplish it quickly.


In those days and in that time, says the Lord, the people of Israel shall come, they and the people of Judah together; they shall come weeping as they seek the Lord their God.


Who is left among you that saw this house in its former glory? How does it look to you now? Is it not in your sight as nothing?


For whoever has despised the day of small things shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel. “These seven are the eyes of the Lord, which range through the whole earth.”
