No human foot shall pass through it, and no animal foot shall pass through it; it shall be uninhabited forty years.


Therefore, thus says the Lord God: I will bring a sword upon you, and will cut off from you human being and animal;


I will dry up the channels, and will sell the land into the hand of evildoers; I will bring desolation upon the land and everything in it by the hand of foreigners; I the Lord have spoken.


Then I will make their waters clear, and cause their streams to run like oil, says the Lord God.


Mortal, raise a lamentation over Pharaoh king of Egypt, and say to him: You consider yourself a lion among the nations, but you are like a dragon in the seas; you thrash about in your streams, trouble the water with your feet, and foul your streams.


Is it not enough for you to feed on the good pasture, but you must tread down with your feet the rest of your pasture? When you drink of clear water, must you foul the rest with your feet?
