Solomon answered all her questions; there was nothing hidden from the king that he could not explain to her.


Have you listened in the council of God? And do you limit wisdom to yourself?


The friendship of the Lord is for those who fear him, and he makes his covenant known to them.


Thus says the Lord: Do not let the wise boast in their wisdom, do not let the mighty boast in their might, do not let the wealthy boast in their wealth;


even if Noah, Daniel, and Job, these three, were in it, they would save only their own lives by their righteousness, says the Lord God.


You were blameless in your ways from the day that you were created, until iniquity was found in you.


In every matter of wisdom and understanding concerning which the king inquired of them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and enchanters in his whole kingdom.


Among them were Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, from the tribe of Judah.


Daniel said: “Blessed be the name of God from age to age, for wisdom and power are his.


He reveals deep and hidden things; he knows what is in the darkness, and light dwells with him.


“O Belteshazzar, chief of the magicians, I know that you are endowed with a spirit of the holy gods and that no mystery is too difficult for you. Hear the dream that I saw; tell me its interpretation.
