Therefore says the Sovereign, the Lord of hosts, the Mighty One of Israel: Ah, I will pour out my wrath on my enemies, and avenge myself on my foes!


For after I had turned away I repented; and after I was discovered, I struck my thigh; I was ashamed, and I was dismayed because I bore the disgrace of my youth.”


Do not go out into the field, or walk on the road; for the enemy has a sword, terror is on every side.”


So I will satisfy my fury on you, and my jealousy shall turn away from you; I will be calm, and will be angry no longer.


And you, mortal, prophesy; Strike hand to hand. Let the sword fall twice, thrice; it is a sword for killing. A sword for great slaughter— it surrounds them;


Attack to the right! Engage to the left! Wherever your edge is directed.


The word of the Lord came to me:


See, I strike my hands together at the dishonest gain you have made, and at the blood that has been shed within you.


Then you shall remember your evil ways, and your dealings that were not good; and you shall loathe yourselves for your iniquities and your abominable deeds.
