So they took the bull that was given them, prepared it, and called on the name of Baal from morning until noon, crying, “O Baal, answer us!” But there was no voice, and no answer. They limped about the altar that they had made.


As midday passed, they raved on until the time of the offering of the oblation, but there was no voice, no answer, and no response.


and the fish in the river died. The river stank so that the Egyptians could not drink its water, and there was blood throughout the whole land of Egypt.


And the Lord did as Moses requested: the frogs died in the houses, the courtyards, and the fields.


But when Pharaoh saw that there was a respite, he hardened his heart, and would not listen to them, just as the Lord had said.


The Lord did so, and great swarms of flies came into the house of Pharaoh and into his officials' houses; in all of Egypt the land was ruined because of the flies.


The magicians could not stand before Moses because of the boils, for the boils afflicted the magicians as well as all the Egyptians.


The princes of Zoan are utterly foolish; the wise counselors of Pharaoh give stupid counsel. How can you say to Pharaoh, “I am one of the sages, a descendant of ancient kings”?


For the Lord is enraged against all the nations, and furious against all their hoards; he has doomed them, has given them over for slaughter.


On that day I will give to Gog a place for burial in Israel, the Valley of the Travelers east of the sea; it shall block the path of the travelers, for there Gog and all his horde will be buried; it shall be called the Valley of Hamon-gog.


I will remove the northern army far from you, and drive it into a parched and desolate land, its front into the eastern sea, and its rear into the western sea; its stench and foul smell will rise up. Surely he has done great things!
