When they came to the threshing floor of Chidon, Uzzah put out his hand to hold the ark, for the oxen shook it.


You shall set limits for the people all around, saying, ‘Be careful not to go up the mountain or to touch the edge of it. Any who touch the mountain shall be put to death.


So Moses went down to the people and told them.


Then he said to Moses, “Come up to the Lord, you and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel, and worship at a distance.


Then Moses and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel went up,


Then Moses said to Aaron, “This is what the Lord meant when he said, ‘Through those who are near me I will show myself holy, and before all the people I will be glorified.’ ” And Aaron was silent.


From the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven has suffered violence, and the violent take it by force.


“Strive to enter through the narrow door; for many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able.


“The law and the prophets were in effect until John came; since then the good news of the kingdom of God is proclaimed, and everyone tries to enter it by force.


The law indeed was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.


For the law brings wrath; but where there is no law, neither is there violation.


Why then the law? It was added because of transgressions, until the offspring would come to whom the promise had been made; and it was ordained through angels by a mediator.


But the scripture has imprisoned all things under the power of sin, so that what was promised through faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.


for indeed our God is a consuming fire.


Let us therefore approach the throne of grace with boldness, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
