But the Lord hardened Pharaoh's heart, and he would not let the Israelites go.


But the Lord hardened Pharaoh's heart, and he was unwilling to let them go.


The Lord said to Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt:


I know, however, that the king of Egypt will not let you go unless compelled by a mighty hand.


And the Lord said to Moses, “When you go back to Egypt, see that you perform before Pharaoh all the wonders that I have put in your power; but I will harden his heart, so that he will not let the people go.


But I will harden Pharaoh's heart, and I will multiply my signs and wonders in the land of Egypt.


But the Lord hardened the heart of Pharaoh, and he would not listen to them, just as the Lord had spoken to Moses.


Why, O Lord, do you make us stray from your ways and harden our heart, so that we do not fear you? Turn back for the sake of your servants, for the sake of the tribes that are your heritage.


“He has blinded their eyes and hardened their heart, so that they might not look with their eyes, and understand with their heart and turn— and I would heal them.”


So then he has mercy on whomever he chooses, and he hardens the heart of whomever he chooses.


What if God, desiring to show his wrath and to make known his power, has endured with much patience the objects of wrath that are made for destruction;
