This is the list of the descendants of Adam. When God created humankind, he made them in the likeness of God.


I put on righteousness, and it clothed me; my justice was like a robe and a turban.


Awake, awake, put on your strength, O Zion! Put on your beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, the holy city; for the uncircumcised and the unclean shall enter you no more.


He put on righteousness like a breastplate, and a helmet of salvation on his head; he put on garments of vengeance for clothing, and wrapped himself in fury as in a mantle.


in holiness and righteousness before him all our days.


Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth.


Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds, so that you may discern what is the will of God—what is good and acceptable and perfect.


the night is far gone, the day is near. Let us then lay aside the works of darkness and put on the armor of light;


Instead, put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to gratify its desires.


Therefore we have been buried with him by baptism into death, so that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life.


But now we are discharged from the law, dead to that which held us captive, so that we are slaves not under the old written code but in the new life of the Spirit.


For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn within a large family.


For this perishable body must put on imperishability, and this mortal body must put on immortality.


And all of us, with unveiled faces, seeing the glory of the Lord as though reflected in a mirror, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another; for this comes from the Lord, the Spirit.


So we do not lose heart. Even though our outer nature is wasting away, our inner nature is being renewed day by day.


So if anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation: everything old has passed away; see, everything has become new!


As many of you as were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.


For neither circumcision nor uncircumcision is anything; but a new creation is everything!


For we are what he has made us, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand to be our way of life.


He has abolished the law with its commandments and ordinances, that he might create in himself one new humanity in place of the two, thus making peace,


Put on the whole armor of God, so that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.


He it is who gave himself for us that he might redeem us from all iniquity and purify for himself a people of his own who are zealous for good deeds.


But of the Son he says, “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever, and the righteous scepter is the scepter of your kingdom.


Pursue peace with everyone, and the holiness without which no one will see the Lord.


Like newborn infants, long for the pure, spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow into salvation—


Thus he has given us, through these things, his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may escape from the corruption that is in the world because of lust, and may become participants of the divine nature.
