I am the vine, you are the branches. Those who abide in me and I in them bear much fruit, because apart from me you can do nothing.


For as in one body we have many members, and not all the members have the same function,


Because there is one bread, we who are many are one body, for we all partake of the one bread.


And now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; and the greatest of these is love.


Now concerning food sacrificed to idols: we know that “all of us possess knowledge.” Knowledge puffs up, but love builds up.


By contrast, the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness,


For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything; the only thing that counts is faith working through love.


just as he chose us in Christ before the foundation of the world to be holy and blameless before him in love.


and that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith, as you are being rooted and grounded in love.


Of this gospel I have become a servant according to the gift of God's grace that was given me by the working of his power.


to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ,


But speaking the truth in love, we must grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ,


And this is my prayer, that your love may overflow more and more with knowledge and full insight


and not holding fast to the head, from whom the whole body, nourished and held together by its ligaments and sinews, grows with a growth that is from God.


I want their hearts to be encouraged and united in love, so that they may have all the riches of assured understanding and have the knowledge of God's mystery, that is, Christ himself,


remembering before our God and Father your work of faith and labor of love and steadfastness of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.


We also constantly give thanks to God for this, that when you received the word of God that you heard from us, you accepted it not as a human word but as what it really is, God's word, which is also at work in you believers.


And may the Lord make you increase and abound in love for one another and for all, just as we abound in love for you.


We must always give thanks to God for you, brothers and sisters, as is right, because your faith is growing abundantly, and the love of everyone of you for one another is increasing.


But the aim of such instruction is love that comes from a pure heart, a good conscience, and sincere faith.


Now that you have purified your souls by your obedience to the truth so that you have genuine mutual love, love one another deeply from the heart.


So we have known and believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and those who abide in love abide in God, and God abides in them.
