Who is like your people, like Israel? Is there another nation on earth whose God went to redeem it as a people, and to make a name for himself, doing great and awesome things for them, by driving out before his people nations and their gods?


I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery;


Listen to me, you that pursue righteousness, you that seek the Lord. Look to the rock from which you were hewn, and to the quarry from which you were dug.


Therefore, the days are surely coming, says the Lord, when it shall no longer be said, “As the Lord lives who brought the people of Israel up out of the land of Egypt,”


In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace


remember that you were at that time without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world.


and be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ has forgiven you.


Provide liberally out of your flock, your threshing floor, and your wine press, thus giving to him some of the bounty with which the Lord your God has blessed you.


But if he says to you, “I will not go out from you,” because he loves you and your household, since he is well off with you,


Remember that you were a slave in Egypt, and diligently observe these statutes.


He it is who gave himself for us that he might redeem us from all iniquity and purify for himself a people of his own who are zealous for good deeds.


We know love by this, that he laid down his life for us—and we ought to lay down our lives for one another.
