When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the Lord appeared to Abram, and said to him, “I am God Almighty; walk before me, and be blameless.


Is anything too wonderful for the Lord? At the set time I will return to you, in due season, and Sarah shall have a son.”


When he is quiet, who can condemn? When he hides his face, who can behold him, whether it be a nation or an individual?—


He will deliver you from six troubles; in seven no harm shall touch you.


Our God is in the heavens; he does whatever he pleases.


The salvation of the righteous is from the Lord; he is their refuge in the time of trouble.


The Lord helps them and rescues them; he rescues them from the wicked, and saves them, because they take refuge in him.


They are like a dream when one awakes; on awaking you despise their phantoms.


Surely God is my salvation; I will trust, and will not be afraid, for the Lord God is my strength and my might; he has become my salvation.


In righteousness you shall be established; you shall be far from oppression, for you shall not fear; and from terror, for it shall not come near you.


Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you to deliver you, says the Lord.”


And I will make you to this people a fortified wall of bronze; they will fight against you, but they shall not prevail over you, for I am with you to save you and deliver you, says the Lord.


I will deliver you out of the hand of the wicked, and redeem you from the grasp of the ruthless.


Nebuchadnezzar then approached the door of the furnace of blazing fire and said, “Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, servants of the Most High God, come out! Come here!” So Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego came out from the fire.


All the inhabitants of the earth are accounted as nothing, and he does what he wills with the host of heaven and the inhabitants of the earth. There is no one who can stay his hand or say to him, “What are you doing?”


Then the king gave the command, and Daniel was brought and thrown into the den of lions. The king said to Daniel, “May your God, whom you faithfully serve, deliver you!”


Then the king was exceedingly glad and commanded that Daniel be taken up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no kind of harm was found on him, because he had trusted in his God.


He delivers and rescues, he works signs and wonders in heaven and on earth; for he has saved Daniel from the power of the lions.”


But as for me, I will look to the Lord, I will wait for the God of my salvation; my God will hear me.


For nothing will be impossible with God.”


But I do not count my life of any value to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the good news of God's grace.


Then Paul answered, “What are you doing, weeping and breaking my heart? For I am ready not only to be bound but even to die in Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.”


What then are we to say about these things? If God is for us, who is against us?


He who rescued us from so deadly a peril will continue to rescue us; on him we have set our hope that he will rescue us again,


Consequently he is able for all time to save those who approach God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them.


David said, “The Lord, who saved me from the paw of the lion and from the paw of the bear, will save me from the hand of this Philistine.” So Saul said to David, “Go, and may the Lord be with you!”


This very day the Lord will deliver you into my hand, and I will strike you down and cut off your head; and I will give the dead bodies of the Philistine army this very day to the birds of the air and to the wild animals of the earth, so that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel,
