Your people will offer themselves willingly on the day you lead your forces on the holy mountains. From the womb of the morning, like dew, your youth will come to you.


Very truly, I tell you, the one who believes in me will also do the works that I do and, in fact, will do greater works than these, because I am going to the Father.


So Simon Peter went aboard and hauled the net ashore, full of large fish, a hundred fifty-three of them; and though there were so many, the net was not torn.


In those days Peter stood up among the believers (together the crowd numbered about one hundred twenty persons) and said,


When the Gentiles heard this, they were glad and praised the word of the Lord; and as many as had been destined for eternal life became believers.


Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and to the other apostles, “Brothers, what should we do?”


praising God and having the goodwill of all the people. And day by day the Lord added to their number those who were being saved.


(We were in all two hundred seventy-six persons in the ship.)


And it will be that everyone who does not listen to that prophet will be utterly rooted out of the people.’


But many of those who heard the word believed; and they numbered about five thousand.


Then Joseph sent and invited his father Jacob and all his relatives to come to him, seventy-five in all;


Let every person be subject to the governing authorities; for there is no authority except from God, and those authorities that exist have been instituted by God.


And you became imitators of us and of the Lord, for in spite of persecution you received the word with joy inspired by the Holy Spirit,


who in former times did not obey, when God waited patiently in the days of Noah, during the building of the ark, in which a few, that is, eight persons, were saved through water.


The second angel poured his bowl into the sea, and it became like the blood of a corpse, and every living thing in the sea died.
