Only, you shall not eat flesh with its life, that is, its blood.


For the life of every creature—its blood is its life; therefore I have said to the people of Israel: You shall not eat the blood of any creature, for the life of every creature is its blood; whoever eats it shall be cut off.


Another said, “I will follow you, Lord; but let me first say farewell to those at my home.”


but we should write to them to abstain only from things polluted by idols and from fornication and from whatever has been strangled and from blood.


but on taking leave of them, he said, “I will return to you, if God wills.” Then he set sail from Ephesus.


But as for the Gentiles who have become believers, we have sent a letter with our judgment that they should abstain from what has been sacrificed to idols and from blood and from what is strangled and from fornication.”


When I was informed that there would be a plot against the man, I sent him to you at once, ordering his accusers also to state before you what they have against him. ”


And when I was with you and was in need, I did not burden anyone, for my needs were supplied by the friends who came from Macedonia. So I refrained and will continue to refrain from burdening you in any way.

Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to care for orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world.


Little children, keep yourselves from idols.


Now to him who is able to keep you from falling, and to make you stand without blemish in the presence of his glory with rejoicing,


But I have a few things against you: you have some there who hold to the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balak to put a stumbling block before the people of Israel, so that they would eat food sacrificed to idols and practice fornication.


But I have this against you: you tolerate that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophet and is teaching and beguiling my servants to practice fornication and to eat food sacrificed to idols.
