“Who then is the faithful and wise slave, whom his master has put in charge of his household, to give the other slaves their allowance of food at the proper time?


The one who had received the five talents went off at once and traded with them, and made five more talents.


And the Lord said, “Who then is the faithful and prudent manager whom his master will put in charge of his slaves, to give them their allowance of food at the proper time?


In those days Peter stood up among the believers (together the crowd numbered about one hundred twenty persons) and said,


Contribute to the needs of the saints; extend hospitality to strangers.


So then, whenever we have an opportunity, let us work for the good of all, and especially for those of the family of faith.


And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.


Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by doing that some have entertained angels without knowing it.


So if I come, I will call attention to what he is doing in spreading false charges against us. And not content with those charges, he refuses to welcome the friends, and even prevents those who want to do so and expels them from the church.


I was overjoyed when some of the friends arrived and testified to your faithfulness to the truth, namely how you walk in the truth.
