When he came to Samaria, he killed all who were left to Ahab in Samaria, until he had wiped them out, according to the word of the Lord that he spoke to Elijah.


For the Lord saw that the distress of Israel was very bitter; there was no one left, bond or free, and no one to help Israel.


Truly, O Lord, the kings of Assyria have laid waste the nations and their lands,


I will stretch over Jerusalem the measuring line for Samaria, and the plummet for the house of Ahab; I will wipe Jerusalem as one wipes a dish, wiping it and turning it upside down.


Indeed the Lord will vindicate his people, have compassion on his servants, when he sees that their power is gone, neither bond nor free remaining.


God do so to David and more also, if by morning I leave so much as one male of all who belong to him.”
