Then Naaman said, “If not, please let two mule-loads of earth be given to your servant; for your servant will no longer offer burnt offering or sacrifice to any god except the Lord.


I passed by you, and saw you flailing about in your blood. As you lay in your blood, I said to you, “Live!


I will put my spirit within you, and you shall live, and I will place you on your own soil; then you shall know that I, the Lord, have spoken and will act,” says the Lord.


Then he said to me, “Prophesy to the breath, prophesy, mortal, and say to the breath: Thus says the Lord God: Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live.”


Look at the proud! Their spirit is not right in them, but the righteous live by their faith.


Though I scattered them among the nations, yet in far countries they shall remember me, and they shall rear their children and return.


that we, being rescued from the hands of our enemies, might serve him without fear,


Very truly, I tell you, anyone who hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life, and does not come under judgment, but has passed from death to life.


Just as the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father, so whoever eats me will live because of me.


I appeal to you therefore, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.

By no means! How can we who died to sin go on living in it?


We know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body of sin might be destroyed, and we might no longer be enslaved to sin.


But if Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, the Spirit is life because of righteousness.


For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death.

From now on, therefore, we regard no one from a human point of view; even though we once knew Christ from a human point of view, we know him no longer in that way.


If we live by the Spirit, let us also be guided by the Spirit.


Now this I affirm and insist on in the Lord: you must no longer live as the Gentiles live, in the futility of their minds.


for everything that becomes visible is light. Therefore it says, “Sleeper, awake! Rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.”


when you were buried with him in baptism, you were also raised with him through faith in the power of God, who raised him from the dead.


So if you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.


And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.


Whatever your task, put yourselves into it, as done for the Lord and not for your masters,


who died for us, so that whether we are awake or asleep we may live with him.


He it is who gave himself for us that he might redeem us from all iniquity and purify for himself a people of his own who are zealous for good deeds.


For this is the reason the gospel was proclaimed even to the dead, so that, though they had been judged in the flesh as everyone is judged, they might live in the spirit as God does.


God's love was revealed among us in this way: God sent his only Son into the world so that we might live through him.


and the living one. I was dead, and see, I am alive forever and ever; and I have the keys of Death and of Hades.
