2 Chronicles 32:33 - New Revised Standard Version

33 Hezekiah slept with his ancestors, and they buried him on the ascent to the tombs of the descendants of David; and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem did him honor at his death. His son Manasseh succeeded him.

Otherwise it will come to pass, when my lord the king sleeps with his ancestors, that my son Solomon and I will be counted offenders.”


Solomon slept with his ancestors and was buried in the city of his father David; and his son Rehoboam succeeded him.


Then David slept with his ancestors, and was buried in the city of David.


Hezekiah slept with his ancestors; and his son Manasseh succeeded him.


They buried him in the tomb that he had hewn out for himself in the city of David. They laid him on a bier that had been filled with various kinds of spices prepared by the perfumer's art; and they made a very great fire in his honor.


Now the rest of the acts of Hezekiah, and his good deeds, are written in the vision of the prophet Isaiah son of Amoz in the Book of the Kings of Judah and Israel.


So his servants took him out of the chariot and carried him in his second chariot and brought him to Jerusalem. There he died, and was buried in the tombs of his ancestors. All Judah and Jerusalem mourned for Josiah.


For the righteous will never be moved; they will be remembered forever.


The memory of the righteous is a blessing, but the name of the wicked will rot.


When all the congregation saw that Aaron had died, all the house of Israel mourned for Aaron thirty days.


The Israelites wept for Moses in the plains of Moab thirty days; then the period of mourning for Moses was ended.


Therefore the Lord the God of Israel declares: ‘I promised that your family and the family of your ancestor should go in and out before me forever’; but now the Lord declares: ‘Far be it from me; for those who honor me I will honor, and those who despise me shall be treated with contempt.


Now Samuel died; and all Israel assembled and mourned for him. They buried him at his home in Ramah. Then David got up and went down to the wilderness of Paran.
