Ahaz gathered together the utensils of the house of God, and cut in pieces the utensils of the house of God. He shut up the doors of the house of the Lord and made himself altars in every corner of Jerusalem.


In the first year of his reign, in the first month, he opened the doors of the house of the Lord and repaired them.


Now this is what you shall offer on the altar: two lambs a year old regularly each day.


Aaron shall offer fragrant incense on it; every morning when he dresses the lamps he shall offer it,


Oh, that someone among you would shut the temple doors, so that you would not kindle fire on my altar in vain! I have no pleasure in you, says the Lord of hosts, and I will not accept an offering from your hands.
