This is what you are to do: one third of you, priests and Levites, who come on duty on the sabbath, shall be gatekeepers,


Do not let anyone enter the house of the Lord except the priests and ministering Levites; they may enter, for they are holy, but all the other people shall observe the instructions of the Lord.


And the Lord did as Moses requested: the frogs died in the houses, the courtyards, and the fields.


And a man lame from birth was being carried in. People would lay him daily at the gate of the temple called the Beautiful Gate so that he could ask for alms from those entering the temple.
