The king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, “Did I not tell you that he would not prophesy anything favorable about me, but only disaster?”


And the Lord said, ‘Who will entice King Ahab of Israel, so that he may go up and fall at Ramoth-gilead?’ Then one said one thing, and another said another,


Hear the word of the Lord, you rulers of Sodom! Listen to the teaching of our God, you people of Gomorrah!


Therefore hear the word of the Lord, you scoffers who rule this people in Jerusalem.


Then Isaiah said to Hezekiah, “Hear the word of the Lord of hosts:

“Now therefore hear the word of the Lord. You say, ‘Do not prophesy against Israel, and do not preach against the house of Isaac.’


So the man who was standing among the myrtle trees answered, “They are those whom the Lord has sent to patrol the earth.”
