After three days they found him in the temple, sitting among the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions.


Then certain individuals came down from Judea and were teaching the brothers, “Unless you are circumcised according to the custom of Moses, you cannot be saved.”


Claiming to be wise, they became fools;


The only thing I want to learn from you is this: Did you receive the Spirit by doing the works of the law or by believing what you heard?


Well then, does God supply you with the Spirit and work miracles among you by your doing the works of the law, or by your believing what you heard?


Tell me, you who desire to be subject to the law, will you not listen to the law?


is conceited, understanding nothing, and has a morbid craving for controversy and for disputes about words. From these come envy, dissension, slander, base suspicions,


who are always being instructed and can never arrive at a knowledge of the truth.


Not many of you should become teachers, my brothers and sisters, for you know that we who teach will be judged with greater strictness.


These people, however, are like irrational animals, mere creatures of instinct, born to be caught and killed. They slander what they do not understand, and when those creatures are destroyed, they also will be destroyed,
