While Jeroboam was standing by the altar to offer incense, a man of God came out of Judah by the word of the Lord to Bethel


but have come back and have eaten food and drunk water in the place of which he said to you, ‘Eat no food, and drink no water,’ your body shall not come to your ancestral tomb.”


For thus I was commanded by the word of the Lord: You shall not eat food, or drink water, or return by the way that you came.”


At the command of the Lord a certain member of a company of prophets said to another, “Strike me!” But the man refused to strike him.


But Micaiah said, “As the Lord lives, whatever the Lord says to me, that I will speak.”


Who can confront it and be safe? —under the whole heaven, who?


But I, O Lord, cry out to you; in the morning my prayer comes before you.


He said, “Yes, he does.” And when he came home, Jesus spoke of it first, asking, “What do you think, Simon? From whom do kings of the earth take toll or tribute? From their children or from others?”


Then those also who have died in Christ have perished.


It is necessary to boast; nothing is to be gained by it, but I will go on to visions and revelations of the Lord.


because we know that the one who raised the Lord Jesus will raise us also with Jesus, and will bring us with you into his presence.


for I did not receive it from a human source, nor was I taught it, but I received it through a revelation of Jesus Christ.


For what is our hope or joy or crown of boasting before our Lord Jesus at his coming? Is it not you?


But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers and sisters, about those who have died, so that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope.


who died for us, so that whether we are awake or asleep we may live with him.


As to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered together to him, we beg you, brothers and sisters,
