David answered Rechab and his brother Baanah, the sons of Rimmon the Beerothite, “As the Lord lives, who has redeemed my life out of every adversity,


my rock and my fortress, my stronghold and my deliverer, my shield, in whom I take refuge, who subdues the peoples under me.


I love you, O Lord, my strength.


With the loyal you show yourself loyal; with the blameless you show yourself blameless;


who delivered me from my enemies; indeed, you exalted me above my adversaries; you delivered me from the violent.


He keeps all their bones; not one of them will be broken.


For he has delivered me from every trouble, and my eye has looked in triumph on my enemies.


“Blessed are the merciful, for they will receive mercy.
