Again there was war, and David went out to fight the Philistines. He launched a heavy attack on them, so that they fled before him.


Then David inquired of the Lord again. The Lord answered him, “Yes, go down to Keilah; for I will give the Philistines into your hand.”


When Abiathar son of Ahimelech fled to David at Keilah, he came down with an ephod in his hand.
