“When your people Israel, having sinned against you, are defeated before an enemy but turn again to you, confess your name, pray and plead with you in this house,


then hear in heaven your dwelling place their prayer and their plea, maintain their cause


Before him there was no king like him, who turned to the Lord with all his heart, with all his soul, and with all his might, according to all the law of Moses; nor did any like him arise after him.


but if you return to me and keep my commandments and do them, though your outcasts are under the farthest skies, I will gather them from there and bring them to the place at which I have chosen to establish my name.’


With my whole heart I seek you; do not let me stray from your commandments.

For one believes with the heart and so is justified, and one confesses with the mouth and so is saved.


From there you will seek the Lord your God, and you will find him if you search after him with all your heart and soul.
