And they struck with blindness the men who were at the door of the house, both small and great, so that they were unable to find the door.


I will come upon him while he is weary and discouraged, and throw him into a panic; and all the people who are with him will flee. I will strike down only the king,


King Ben-hadad of Aram gathered all his army together; thirty-two kings were with him, along with horses and chariots. He marched against Samaria, laid siege to it, and attacked it.


They went out at noon, while Ben-hadad was drinking himself drunk in the booths, he and the thirty-two kings allied with him.


Also do this: remove the kings, each from his post, and put commanders in place of them;


When the captains of the chariots saw Jehoshaphat, they said, “It is surely the king of Israel.” So they turned to fight against him; and Jehoshaphat cried out.


Now the king of Aram had commanded the captains of his chariots, “Fight with no one small or great, but only with the king of Israel.”


Both great and small shall die in this land; they shall not be buried, and no one shall lament for them; there shall be no gashing, no shaving of the head for them.


and taken captive the women and all who were in it, both small and great; they killed none of them, but carried them off, and went their way.
