The God of Israel has spoken, the Rock of Israel has said to me: One who rules over people justly, ruling in the fear of God,


David then perceived that the Lord had established him king over Israel, and that he had exalted his kingdom for the sake of his people Israel.


So David reigned over all Israel; and David administered justice and equity to all his people.


All Israel heard of the judgment that the king had rendered; and they stood in awe of the king, because they perceived that the wisdom of God was in him, to execute justice.


When Hiram heard the words of Solomon, he rejoiced greatly, and said, “Blessed be the Lord today, who has given to David a wise son to be over this great people.”


And you made your people Israel to be your people forever; and you, O Lord, became their God.


Then King Huram of Tyre answered in a letter that he sent to Solomon, “Because the Lord loves his people he has made you king over them.”


He brought me out into a broad place; he delivered me, because he delighted in me.


“Commit your cause to the Lord; let him deliver— let him rescue the one in whom he delights!”


May he judge your people with righteousness, and your poor with justice.


Here is my servant, whom I uphold, my chosen, in whom my soul delights; I have put my spirit upon him; he will bring forth justice to the nations.


You shall no more be termed Forsaken, and your land shall no more be termed Desolate; but you shall be called My Delight Is in Her, and your land Married; for the Lord delights in you, and your land shall be married.


For a child has been born for us, a son given to us; authority rests upon his shoulders; and he is named Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.


His authority shall grow continually, and there shall be endless peace for the throne of David and his kingdom. He will establish and uphold it with justice and with righteousness from this time onward and forevermore. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will do this.

It was because the Lord loved you and kept the oath that he swore to your ancestors, that the Lord has brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you from the house of slavery, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.
