Paul wanted Timothy to accompany him; and he took him and had him circumcised because of the Jews who were in those places, for they all knew that his father was a Greek.


After staying there for a considerable time, Paul said farewell to the believers and sailed for Syria, accompanied by Priscilla and Aquila. At Cenchreae he had his hair cut, for he was under a vow.

Now we know that whatever the law says, it speaks to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be silenced, and the whole world may be held accountable to God.

Tell me, you who desire to be subject to the law, will you not listen to the law?


in order to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as children.


But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not subject to the law.
