The Lord said to Satan, “Very well, he is in your power; only spare his life.”


They say, “Appoint a wicked man against him; let an accuser stand on his right.


If you beat them with the rod, you will save their lives from Sheol.


But if the priest examines it and the hair on it is not white, nor is it deeper than the skin but has abated, the priest shall confine him seven days.


Jesus said to him, “Away with you, Satan! for it is written, ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve only him.’ ”


“Simon, Simon, listen! Satan has demanded to sift all of you like wheat,


to open their eyes so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.’


He will also strengthen you to the end, so that you may be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.


But when we are judged by the Lord, we are disciplined so that we may not be condemned along with the world.


God will judge those outside. “Drive out the wicked person from among you.”


We are ready to punish every disobedience when your obedience is complete.
