But when Gallio was proconsul of Achaia, the Jews made a united attack on Paul and brought him before the tribunal.


Contribute to the needs of the saints; extend hospitality to strangers.


At present, however, I am going to Jerusalem in a ministry to the saints;


that I may be rescued from the unbelievers in Judea, and that my ministry to Jerusalem may be acceptable to the saints,


so that you may welcome her in the Lord as is fitting for the saints, and help her in whatever she may require from you, for she has been a benefactor of many and of myself as well.


Greet also the church in their house. Greet my beloved Epaenetus, who was the first convert in Asia for Christ.


(I did baptize also the household of Stephanas; beyond that, I do not know whether I baptized anyone else.)


Now concerning the collection for the saints: you should follow the directions I gave to the churches of Galatia.


I rejoice at the coming of Stephanas and Fortunatus and Achaicus, because they have made up for your absence;


begging us earnestly for the privilege of sharing in this ministry to the saints—


Now it is not necessary for me to write you about the ministry to the saints,


she must be well attested for her good works, as one who has brought up children, shown hospitality, washed the saints' feet, helped the afflicted, and devoted herself to doing good in every way.


I have indeed received much joy and encouragement from your love, because the hearts of the saints have been refreshed through you, my brother.


For God is not unjust; he will not overlook your work and the love that you showed for his sake in serving the saints, as you still do.


Like good stewards of the manifold grace of God, serve one another with whatever gift each of you has received.


It is these who have not defiled themselves with women, for they are virgins; these follow the Lamb wherever he goes. They have been redeemed from humankind as first fruits for God and the Lamb,
