Naaman, commander of the army of the king of Aram, was a great man and in high favor with his master, because by him the Lord had given victory to Aram. The man, though a mighty warrior, suffered from leprosy.


Now, my son, the Lord be with you, so that you may succeed in building the house of the Lord your God, as he has spoken concerning you.


O sing to the Lord a new song, for he has done marvelous things. His right hand and his holy arm have gotten him victory.


The horse is made ready for the day of battle, but the victory belongs to the Lord.


I have said this to you, so that in me you may have peace. In the world you face persecution. But take courage; I have conquered the world!”


After he had said this, he took bread; and giving thanks to God in the presence of all, he broke it and began to eat.


Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, with my mind I am a slave to the law of God, but with my flesh I am a slave to the law of sin.


No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.


Listen, I will tell you a mystery! We will not all die, but we will all be changed,


as you also join in helping us by your prayers, so that many will give thanks on our behalf for the blessing granted us through the prayers of many.


But thanks be to God, who in Christ always leads us in triumphal procession, and through us spreads in every place the fragrance that comes from knowing him.
