Then the man said, “You shall no longer be called Jacob, but Israel, for you have striven with God and with humans, and have prevailed.”


There he erected an altar and called it El-Elohe-Israel.


He said, “Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, who with his hand has fulfilled what he promised with his mouth to my father David, saying,


Yours, O Lord, are the greatness, the power, the glory, the victory, and the majesty; for all that is in the heavens and on the earth is yours; yours is the kingdom, O Lord, and you are exalted as head above all.


Then David said to the whole assembly, “Bless the Lord your God.” And all the assembly blessed the Lord, the God of their ancestors, and bowed their heads and prostrated themselves before the Lord and the king.


Then the people rejoiced because these had given willingly, for with single mind they had offered freely to the Lord; King David also rejoiced greatly.


When Hezekiah and the officials came and saw the heaps, they blessed the Lord and his people Israel.


And he said, “Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, who with his hand has fulfilled what he promised with his mouth to my father David, saying,


Blessed be the Lord, the God of our ancestors, who put such a thing as this into the heart of the king to glorify the house of the Lord in Jerusalem,


Then Ezra blessed the Lord, the great God, and all the people answered, “Amen, Amen,” lifting up their hands. Then they bowed their heads and worshiped the Lord with their faces to the ground.


I give you thanks, O Lord, with my whole heart; before the gods I sing your praise;


I will praise the Lord as long as I live; I will sing praises to my God all my life long.


The poor shall eat and be satisfied; those who seek him shall praise the Lord. May your hearts live forever!


They set a net for my steps; my soul was bowed down. They dug a pit in my path, but they have fallen into it themselves. Selah


Blessed be the Lord forever. Amen and Amen.

“Pray then in this way: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name.


Give us each day our daily bread.


To all God's beloved in Rome, who are called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.


For you did not receive a spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received a spirit of adoption. When we cry, “Abba! Father!”


Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places,


For I will proclaim the name of the Lord; ascribe greatness to our God!


To our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen.


Now may our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and through grace gave us eternal comfort and good hope,


To the King of the ages, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.


Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! By his great mercy he has given us a new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,


singing with full voice, “Worthy is the Lamb that was slaughtered to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing!”
