The children of Amram: Aaron, Moses, and Miriam. The sons of Aaron: Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.

They were jealous of Moses in the camp, and of Aaron, the holy one of the Lord.


Moses and Aaron were among his priests, Samuel also was among those who called on his name. They cried to the Lord, and he answered them.


You shall make a rosette of pure gold, and engrave on it, like the engraving of a signet, “Holy to the Lord.”


I will consecrate the tent of meeting and the altar; Aaron also and his sons I will consecrate, to serve me as priests.


Amram married Jochebed his father's sister and she bore him Aaron and Moses, and the length of Amram's life was one hundred thirty-seven years.


You are to distinguish between the holy and the common, and between the unclean and the clean;


The Lord said to Aaron: You and your sons and your ancestral house with you shall bear responsibility for offenses connected with the sanctuary, while you and your sons alone shall bear responsibility for offenses connected with the priesthood.


The name of Amram's wife was Jochebed daughter of Levi, who was born to Levi in Egypt; and she bore to Amram: Aaron, Moses, and their sister Miriam.


To Kohath belonged the clan of the Amramites, the clan of the Izharites, the clan of the Hebronites, and the clan of the Uzzielites; these are the clans of the Kohathites.


he was chosen by lot, according to the custom of the priesthood, to enter the sanctuary of the Lord and offer incense.

I chose him out of all the tribes of Israel to be my priest, to go up to my altar, to offer incense, to wear an ephod before me; and I gave to the family of your ancestor all my offerings by fire from the people of Israel.
