As the ark of the Lord came into the city of David, Michal daughter of Saul looked out of the window, and saw King David leaping and dancing before the Lord; and she despised him in her heart.


So all Israel brought up the ark of the covenant of the Lord with shouting, to the sound of the horn, trumpets, and cymbals, and made loud music on harps and lyres.


Now when David settled in his house, David said to the prophet Nathan, “I am living in a house of cedar, but the ark of the covenant of the Lord is under a tent.”


Let them praise his name with dancing, making melody to him with tambourine and lyre.


Praise him with tambourine and dance; praise him with strings and pipe!


You have turned my mourning into dancing; you have taken off my sackcloth and clothed me with joy,


Then the prophet Miriam, Aaron's sister, took a tambourine in her hand; and all the women went out after her with tambourines and with dancing.


a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;


And when you have multiplied and increased in the land, in those days, says the Lord, they shall no longer say, “The ark of the covenant of the Lord.” It shall not come to mind, or be remembered, or missed; nor shall another one be made.

So they set out from the mount of the Lord three days' journey with the ark of the covenant of the Lord going before them three days' journey, to seek out a resting place for them,


But others sneered and said, “They are filled with new wine.”


Those who are unspiritual do not receive the gifts of God's Spirit, for they are foolishness to them, and they are unable to understand them because they are spiritually discerned.


For if we are beside ourselves, it is for God; if we are in our right mind, it is for you.


“Take this book of the law and put it beside the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God; let it remain there as a witness against you.


In it stood the golden altar of incense and the ark of the covenant overlaid on all sides with gold, in which there were a golden urn holding the manna, and Aaron's rod that budded, and the tablets of the covenant;

And the Israelites inquired of the Lord (for the ark of the covenant of God was there in those days,


Saul had given his daughter Michal, David's wife, to Palti son of Laish, who was from Gallim.


When the troops came to the camp, the elders of Israel said, “Why has the Lord put us to rout today before the Philistines? Let us bring the ark of the covenant of the Lord here from Shiloh, so that he may come among us and save us from the power of our enemies.”
