All the prophets testify about him that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name.’


They replied, ‘Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved – you and your household.’


Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.


I would like to learn just one thing from you: did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by believing what you heard?


So again I ask, does God give you his Spirit and work miracles among you by the works of the law, or by your believing what you heard?

No, the word is very near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart so that you may obey it.


If you point these things out to the brothers and sisters, you will be a good minister of Christ Jesus, nourished on the truths of the faith and of the good teaching that you have followed.
