You came only yesterday. And today shall I make you wander about with us, when I do not know where I am going? Go back, and take your people with you. May the Lord show you kindness and faithfulness.’


Then the king said to Zadok, ‘Take the ark of God back into the city. If I find favour in the Lord’s eyes, he will bring me back and let me see it and his dwelling-place again.


They brought the ark of God and set it inside the tent that David had pitched for it, and they presented burnt offerings and fellowship offerings before God.


David left Zadok the priest and his fellow priests before the tabernacle of the Lord at the high place in Gibeon


The tabernacle of the Lord, which Moses had made in the wilderness, and the altar of burnt offering were at that time on the high place at Gibeon.


Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.

He sends from heaven and saves me, rebuking those who hotly pursue me – God sends forth his love and his faithfulness.
