‘Though I cry, “Violence!” I get no response; though I call for help, there is no justice.


‘I cry out to you, God, but you do not answer; I stand up, but you merely look at me.


The Lord is righteous in all his ways and faithful in all he does.


those who sacrifice thank-offerings honour me, and to the blameless I will show my salvation.’


Praise awaits you, our God, in Zion; to you our vows will be fulfilled.


May my prayer come before you; turn your ear to my cry.


Exalt the Lord our God and worship at his holy mountain, for the Lord our God is holy.


And they were calling to one another: ‘Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory.’


How long, Lord, must I call for help, but you do not listen? Or cry out to you, ‘Violence!’ but you do not save?


He is your praise; he is your God, who performed for you those great and awesome wonders you saw with your own eyes.


Each of the four living creatures had six wings and was covered with eyes all round, even under its wings. Day and night they never stop saying: ‘ “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty,” who was, and is, and is to come.’
