You came only yesterday. And today shall I make you wander about with us, when I do not know where I am going? Go back, and take your people with you. May the Lord show you kindness and faithfulness.’


I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.


All the ways of the Lord are loving and faithful towards those who keep the demands of his covenant.


Love and faithfulness meet together; righteousness and peace kiss each other.


This observance will be for you like a sign on your hand and a reminder on your forehead that this law of the Lord is to be on your lips. For the Lord brought you out of Egypt with his mighty hand.


And he passed in front of Moses, proclaiming, ‘The Lord, the Lord, the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness,


They are a garland to grace your head and a chain to adorn your neck.


Do not those who plot evil go astray? But those who plan what is good find love and faithfulness.


Through love and faithfulness sin is atoned for; through the fear of the Lord evil is avoided.


Love and faithfulness keep a king safe; through love his throne is made secure.


Bind them always on your heart; fasten them round your neck.


Bind them on your fingers; write them on the tablet of your heart.
