How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!


My heart laments for Moab like a harp, my inmost being for Kir Hareseth.


Now there was a man in Jerusalem called Simeon, who was righteous and devout. He was waiting for the consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was on him.


I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.


Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.


‘I am coming to you now, but I say these things while I am still in the world, so that they may have the full measure of my joy within them.


Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts,


All the believers were one in heart and mind. No-one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared everything they had.


And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.


In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.


For we were all baptised by one Spirit so as to form one body – whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free – and we were all given the one Spirit to drink.


I face death every day – yes, just as surely as I boast about you in Christ Jesus our Lord.


Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit lives among you?


May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.


But thanks be to God, who always leads us as captives in Christ’s triumphal procession and uses us to spread the aroma of the knowledge of him everywhere.

My goal is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ,


Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.


God did this so that, by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled to take hold of the hope set before us may be greatly encouraged.


who have been chosen according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through the sanctifying work of the Spirit, to be obedient to Jesus Christ and sprinkled with his blood: Grace and peace be yours in abundance.


The one who keeps God’s commands lives in him, and he in them. And this is how we know that he lives in us: we know it by the Spirit he gave us.


No-one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.


And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.
