The righteous care for the needs of their animals, but the kindest acts of the wicked are cruel.


Fools show their annoyance at once, but the prudent overlook an insult.


This is the evil in everything that happens under the sun: The same destiny overtakes all. The hearts of people, moreover, are full of evil and there is madness in their hearts while they live, and afterwards they join the dead.


The donkey said to Balaam, ‘Am I not your own donkey, which you have always ridden, to this day? Have I been in the habit of doing this to you?’ ‘No,’ he said.


For out of the heart come evil thoughts – murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander.
