Then two scoundrels came and sat opposite him and brought charges against Naboth before the people, saying, ‘Naboth has cursed both God and the king.’ So they took him outside the city and stoned him to death.


‘Say to the Israelites: “Any Israelite or any foreigner residing in Israel who sacrifices any of his children to Molek is to be put to death. The members of the community are to stone him.


‘ “A man or woman who is a medium or spiritist among you must be put to death. You are to stone them; their blood will be on their own heads.” ’


Then Moses spoke to the Israelites, and they took the blasphemer outside the camp and stoned him. The Israelites did as the Lord commanded Moses.


So the assembly took him outside the camp and stoned him to death, as the Lord commanded Moses.


They got up, drove him out of the town, and took him to the brow of the hill on which the town was built, in order to throw him off the cliff.
