that though the wicked spring up like grass and all evildoers flourish, they will be destroyed for ever.


Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. ‘You of little faith,’ he said, ‘why did you doubt?’


Aware of their discussion, Jesus asked, ‘You of little faith, why are you talking among yourselves about having no bread?


‘You unbelieving and perverse generation,’ Jesus replied, ‘how long shall I stay with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring the boy here to me.’


He replied, ‘You of little faith, why are you so afraid?’ Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm.


He said to his disciples, ‘Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?’


‘You unbelieving generation,’ Jesus replied, ‘how long shall I stay with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring the boy to me.’


If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today, and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, how much more will he clothe you – you of little faith!


‘You unbelieving and perverse generation,’ Jesus replied, ‘how long shall I stay with you and put up with you? Bring your son here.’


Then he said to Thomas, ‘Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.’


See to it, brothers and sisters, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God.


For, ‘All people are like grass, and all their glory is like the flowers of the field; the grass withers and the flowers fall,
