‘As you know, the Passover is two days away – and the Son of Man will be handed over to be crucified.’


They were very sad and began to say to him one after the other, ‘Surely you don’t mean me, Lord?’


‘I am not referring to all of you; I know those I have chosen. But this is to fulfil this passage of Scripture: “He who shared my bread has turned against me.”


After he had said this, Jesus was troubled in spirit and testified, ‘Very truly I tell you, one of you is going to betray me.’


His disciples stared at one another, at a loss to know which of them he meant.


Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.


I will strike her children dead. Then all the churches will know that I am he who searches hearts and minds, and I will repay each of you according to your deeds.
