So they answered Jesus, ‘We don’t know.’ Then he said, ‘Neither will I tell you by what authority I am doing these things.


If then David calls him “Lord”, how can he be his son?’


When Jesus saw that he had answered wisely, he said to him, ‘You are not far from the kingdom of God.’ And from then on no-one dared ask him any more questions.


When he said this, all his opponents were humiliated, but the people were delighted with all the wonderful things he was doing.


But they remained silent. So taking hold of the man, he healed him and sent him on his way.


And no-one dared to ask him any more questions.


But since they could see the man who had been healed standing there with them, there was nothing they could say.


“I am the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.” Moses trembled with fear and did not dare to look.
