Before I was afflicted I went astray, but now I obey your word.


It was good for me to be afflicted so that I might learn your decrees.


The Lord is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love.


When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he had compassion on them and healed those who were ill.


Jesus called his disciples to him and said, ‘I have compassion for these people; they have already been with me three days and have nothing to eat. I do not want to send them away hungry, or they may collapse on the way.’


‘Lord,’ they answered, ‘we want our sight.’


As they approached Jerusalem and came to Bethphage on the Mount of Olives, Jesus sent two disciples,


He touched her hand and the fever left her, and she got up and began to wait on him.


Then he touched their eyes and said, ‘According to your faith let it be done to you’;


When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.


After he took him aside, away from the crowd, Jesus put his fingers into the man’s ears. Then he spat and touched the man’s tongue.


Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus, praising God. When all the people saw it, they also praised God.


But Jesus answered, ‘No more of this!’ And he touched the man’s ear and healed him.


When the Lord saw her, his heart went out to her and he said, ‘Don’t cry.’


to open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.”


For this reason he had to be made like them, fully human in every way, in order that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in service to God, and that he might make atonement for the sins of the people.


Finally, all of you, be like-minded, be sympathetic, love one another, be compassionate and humble.
