‘Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.’


At this, some of the teachers of the law said to themselves, ‘This fellow is blaspheming!’


They devour widows’ houses and for a show make lengthy prayers. These men will be punished most severely.’


He said this because they were saying, ‘He has an impure spirit.’


And everyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven.


They will be punished with everlasting destruction and shut out from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might


They are wild waves of the sea, foaming up their shame; wandering stars, for whom blackest darkness has been reserved for ever.


In a similar way, Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion. They serve as an example of those who suffer the punishment of eternal fire.
