But after I have risen, I will go ahead of you into Galilee.’


Then Jesus said to them, ‘Do not be afraid. Go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee; there they will see me.’


Then go quickly and tell his disciples: “He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.” Now I have told you.’


But after I have risen, I will go ahead of you into Galilee.’


Then everyone deserted him and fled.


Trembling and bewildered, the women went out and fled from the tomb. They said nothing to anyone, because they were afraid. [The earliest manuscripts and some other ancient witnesses do not have verses 9–20.]


Afterwards Jesus appeared again to his disciples, by the Sea of Galilee. It happened this way:


and for many days he was seen by those who had travelled with him from Galilee to Jerusalem. They are now his witnesses to our people.


and that he appeared to Cephas, and then to the Twelve.


Now instead, you ought to forgive and comfort him, so that he will not be overwhelmed by excessive sorrow.
