What shall I return to the Lord for all his goodness to me?


Many women were there, watching from a distance. They had followed Jesus from Galilee to care for his needs.


Simon’s mother-in-law was in bed with a fever, and they immediately told Jesus about her.


That evening after sunset the people brought to Jesus all who were ill and demon-possessed.


In Galilee these women had followed him and cared for his needs. Many other women who had come up with him to Jerusalem were also there.


He took her by the hand and said to her, ‘Talitha koum!’ (which means ‘Little girl, I say to you, get up!’).


He took her by the hand and helped her to her feet. Then he called for the believers, especially the widows, and presented her to them alive.
